My name is Lorna Bates. I have a BA(Hons) in Fine Art, an MA in Art Practice and a PGCE. I live and work in North Wales.

Artist preferring to be behind the camera rather than in front of it!

I trained at Glasgow School of Art in the 1980’s and have shown my work in galleries all over Britain and abroad. The exhibition catalogue produced by The National Portrait Gallery of Scotland for the show New Scottish Photography was translated into Spanish for its venue in Madrid.

A painting was selected for The Wrexham Open 2018, held here at my home town at Ty Pawb (Everybody’s House) and UnDegUn (number 11), both in Wrexham.
